Brotherly love

Levi absolutely adores his "Sissy Baby." He kisses her lots, so this wasn't staged. I love this outfit too (very grown up)... and the mary jane socks that look like shoes. They were a gift.

OOPS...

... This is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever done. I saw a few flakes on Sullivan's scalp under all that hair. I had just read that petroleum jelly takes off cradle cap, so I slathered her locks with the gooey stuff. "Of course," you're saying, "that doesn't shampoo out." But I just did what BabyCenter told me to do.... dumb, I know. They probably weren't talking about babies with hair like hers. After four shampoos and still the greasiest hair ever - so gross - I was freaking out. I got online and discovered that corn starch absorbs the goop and washes out. It took 3 treatments, but it finally came out. Sullivan has very silky, fluffy hair now.

Teeny ballerina

I had to try this dress on Sullivan, but it's still a little big. She looks like such a lady, doesn't she?? Oopsie... she fell over.

Interest in toys

Well, she's finally a little bit interested in toys she can whack with a closed fist. She opens her hands a lot, but not to grab toys just yet. She sure likes to watch things swing, though!

After bath curls

Believe it or not, the straight mop of hair Sullivan has is really very curly when it gets wet. But I find her style wears better if I brush it to the side while it's still wet and straighten it a little. Otherwise, it just stands up.

Quiet time with Daddy

Will loves to hold his little girl any time... especially in the morning when he's having his quiet time. She always loves time with her Daddy.

Sullivan's bedtime

It seems that the only time she truly loves to be put in her crib is at night. At least, this is the only time she will smile and talk to me when I put her to bed. During the day, she looks at me like I'm hurting her feelings when I put her down.

Gettin' ready for bed

Every evening it's the same routine - though one boy usually likes to change it up a bit. Here we have Titus, Zane and... Juan Valdez?

Our friends the Farleys

There are few friends in life who are there for you whenever you need them... and you LOVE to have them around! There are many days we just hang out - and these are some of our greatest days. Our kids love their kids and we love them. Levi seems to gravitate to his crazy "Uncle Mike." Sullivan will surely love her "Aunt Stefanie" too, who is enjoying holding her. Sullivan seems to be posing to show off her "bling."

It's my party (dress)...

... and I'll cry if I want to. We have so many pictures of her in this dress because we love it! Thank you, Aunt Stef!

A sweet smile

Sullivan smiles a lot now, especially when she's nursing (and I don't have the camera handy).

Good lovin'

I dread the day these boys are too "big" to kiss their Mommy. I'm soaking it all up while I can.

Kisses

I don't think there's a baby in the world who's gotten more kisses than Sullivan. Well, maybe I can think of three more. :)

A day out

We all took Grandma to the airport and ate at the Cheesecake Factory (our family alone could keep this restaurant in business). We laugh because we take so many pictures here - usually with the swirly-backed booths in the background - but it was a very big day to get everyone out. Here are two of my handsome men.

Baby Lollie

I walked in on Levi getting his BFF "Lollie" all ready to go somewhere. I think he's really been paying attention to how this works. Cute, huh?

Lots of love

At the 4th of July party, Miss Sullivan got lots of attention from friends - Julia, Kimberlee and Heather.

4th of July party

We went to the Whiddon's for a party to celebrate Independence Day. Sullivan slept, I sat around a lot watching her sleep, and Zane, Titus and Levi swam with Daddy (though I managed to only get a picture of Zane in the pool).

Kitchen companion

Sullivan loves to sit in her bouncy seat on the island counter with me while I cook. She always acts interested for about 30 seconds and then dozes off. But looking at her peaceful sleeping face (at all angles) is good enough for me. It makes cooking even more fun. I look forward to her asking me if she can crack the eggs or stir the cake batter.

New haircuts

Even though I protested, Will took the boys to get their hair cut. I was sad because Zane wanted the dreaded "buzz cut." I wondered why he wanted to get rid of all that beautiful hair. But I was pleasantly surprised, even though it makes Zane look older. The girls at the salon said he looks like Brad Pitt. I say (like a true mother), "Move over, Brad Pitt!"

"Daddy does my hair"

OK, Daddy doesn't really do her hair, but it looks as if he does.... or does HIS hair MATCH Sullivan's? We love this smile, even though she was toppling over right as we were capturing it.

Laundry "helper"???

Levi wanted to "hep" me fold my 12 loads of laundry. But all he wanted to do was try on EVERY pair of his brothers' underwear. He put them ALL on, over his shorts and diaper of course, one by one. At least I got a good laugh!

Grandma's visit

Will's mom came here to meet Sullivan and shuttle Zane to swim lessons and karate practice. As you can see, she and Levi enjoyed some time together.
