powell family: October 2007

5 Months Old Today!!!

I cannot believe how quickly these five months have flown by. And we are enjoying each and every second of having this little girl in our family. I had NO idea how much fun she would be. (Thank you, Jody, for this adorable Purple Bug onesie!)

Sean and Mary Kay (and family)...

The last time our friends Sean and Mary Kay were here, they only had two kids and we only had three. We sure miss having them here in California! But we enjoyed their visit immensely - we always eat too much while we spend precious time catching up. We got to celebrate Sean's birthday a little late, and our kids enjoyed getting to know (again) Sydney, Bailey and Luke. We love you, Alix family!

Pumpkin time!!

Our annual trek out to Bates Nut Farm was just as fun as always. It was more crowded than usual, but still fun because it ushers in this special time of year. At our house we love fall, including everything pumpkin (from pumpkin pancakes to pumpkin pasta). And, of course, Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS - our favorite holiday - are right around the corner. Now, if only we had snow to look forward to.

Worms

The boys were very excited about finding earthworms while their Daddy was putting some new plants in the ground. Zane and Levi proudly showed theirs off, but Titus preferred not to hold one and just posed very nicely for a picture. I love this pose. :)

Siesta!

While the boys and I played ball and Daddy did yard work, little Sullivan enjoyed being outside too! It was chilly, so I kept her in her jammies and she just took a little nap out on the grass.

Glamour girl

When I put my lil' punkin in this chair for just a picture, she plopped right over and really started hamming it up! Oh my goodness, I think she really likes to have her picture taken (no thanks to me and my ever-present camera, I'm sure)! Watch out Victoria's Secret girls - especially with these streamlined thighs - here comes some serious competition. ;)

Sunday picnic

We had lunch out in the fresh air this weekend on our La Cresta land. It's so beautiful there and feels like we're SO far away from home! Lord willing, we will start to build our house in the near future.
