Water Baptized!

Zane and Titus decided to be baptized together on January 17th! They've been desiring this public display of their decision to follow Christ for some time now, and our recent study in school of John's baptism of Jesus sparked their interest again. How timely that our church scheduled a baptism on this particular Sunday! What a special time this was for the boys and for Will and me, who rejoice in our children's belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior and their desire to live for Him!

Getting in the baptismal... we were told the water was nice and warm, which was great on a chilly day. This was the calm before a long series of rainstorms that hit CA, starting later that night!

Here, Pastor Van Wick and Pastor Tage are praying with the boys. I wish I had a better angle, but I love the shots of Titus' small praying hands in the three upper photos and Zane's in the two lower.

Baptized together!

I love the joy on the boys' faces!

Zane and Titus posed with their great friends, Matthew and David.

This is not the greatest family picture, but we're all so happy, despite the sun shining in our eyes!

Wonderful! Aside from the fact that Zane and Titus are SOAKING wet and their robes are hanging half way down them it is a great family pic! ;) What a blessing!

What a beautiful day! I love, love the two close ups of the newly baptized Powell brothers. Thanks for sharing this special time. (I am going to show the girls this post because we've just been reading about that crazy John guy eatin' locust and wearing animal furs, and they've had a few questions to say the least.)
