Dancing Queen

If there's one thing our now 2-year-old girl loves to do, it's DANCE. Any time, any place, just turn on the music and watch...

Her sweet brothers jumped right in. Here she is dancing with Titus... (The jacket, by the way, belonged to my brother back in about 1975, and Titus just loves it!)...

... and Zane.

Presents!

Time to open...

I stuck a pack of shimmery lip gloss on one of Sullivan's gifts. This was a big hit because she always wants mine! I put it on her and she licked it right off!

Sulli loves her new crayons ("cullies") and pages!

Grandma and Grandpa got Sullivan some new outfits for her doll Chloe, who she calls "Cho-le."

My bookworm got some Fancy Nancy books from Nonnie!

I think the kitchen from Non and Pops is the favorite. She cracks me up at how much she salts her food. I'm afraid she learned that from Mama.

Let her eat cake!

Sullivan didn't actually eat any of her cake until the day after her birthday; she was much too tired last night. I love the crinkled nose as she devours each bite. That's my girl!

I finally got smart and put her bib on.

2!!!

Two years ago today, God blessed us with this amazing little girl. We still can't believe we got one! She is so special, and we thank the Lord for this masterpiece - as well as our other 3 - every day. She gave "Lam-Lam" and Nonnie lots of snuggles this morning.

Daddy got Sullivan a special gift since she's so fond of lambs. She calls this one "Babba." And, of course, special girls get special phone calls on their birthdays.

Great friends help us celebrate!

With Will being currently unemployed, we thought it unwise to have a big party for our girl, as much as we wanted to throw one. We had been planning an hors d'oeuvres and wine pairing party with the Whiddons and Lohrs for a while, so we thought May 24th was as good an evening as any, and our lovely friends were gracious enough to want to help us celebrate our little doll's 2 years. These are the kind of friends that are one (or 4) in a million. (By the way, the food everyone contributed was fabulous, as was the wine.)

The girls!

Time for cake!!!

Sullivan loved being sung to by special friends... and she even joined in.

My sweet girl needed a little help blowing out all 2 of her candles.;)

We were so blessed to have Mom here for our little party. Any time spent with her is treasured!

How Daddy loves his precious girl!

Sullivan stayed busy most of the evening with her new kitchen from Nonnie and Popsie. She will enjoy cooking next to Mommy every night!

Kimberlee is showing Sulli the sweet book she brought her: "God's Wisdom for Little Girls." This is a special book we'll always keep.

The Lohrs brought Sullivan this darling outfit and a little lamb and tote that says "Jesus loves me." So cute! Now Sulli has another purse for her growing collection... and can a girl have too many? I think not.

Julia always brings out the best in little ones... she just has a way!
